Biography and artistic journey
Born in 1952 in Saint-Colomban (Loire-Atlantique), René Patron showed a passion for drawing from a very early age.

Artistic training
He joined the École des Beaux-Arts in Nantes in 1977, initially taking evening classes with Guy Batis, then full-time. From 1978 to 1981, he developed his "pictorial writing" with Ekkehart Rautenstrauch, then studied under Paul Guimezanes until 1984.
First exhibitions
His exhibiting career began in Nantes in 1985 via the Lions Club. The Deshayes gallery presented his works on the médiathèque construction site, then on the maternity ward. In 1986, he was selected for "Young Creators" in Rochefort.
Ambitious artistic projects
His recognition was established in 1987 with his selection for the "À l'ouest du nouveau" Salon and his exhibition in Douarnenez. In 1988, he created a monumental work for "Paliss'art" in Nantes. Since 1987, he has been documenting the construction site of the Onyx space, a project that has inspired more than five hundred works.
